0 Flaviana Matata Donates 500 Lifevests

Tanzanian Supermodel Flaviana Matata donates 500 lifevests to government agency "Marine Services Ltd" in special ceremony of 16th anniversary of MV Bukoba!

This accident left almost 1000 Tanzanians dead,including Flaviana's dearest Mother.

The initiative took place today 21st May,2012 in  a function that took place in Mwanza.

 This is not the first time Flaviana Matata gives back to the community...through her Flaviana Matata Foundation, she has raised money for unprivileged girls to go to school in 2011... and she is part of the Tanzania Mitindo House initiative to help HIV+ orphans

I applaud you,Lavvy...this is a great initiative that needs to be adopted by Tanzanian companies and Organizations, rather than waiting for accidents to occur; for them to open Red Alert fundraising lines. Many people in Tanzania do not have the knowledge on life vests/life jackets... And our respective Institutions lack enough resources for such...Congrats to Flaviana Matata Foundation for taking the first step.
