Maria Kamiyama was crowned Miss Universe Japan 2011

 Maria Kamiyama was crowned Miss Universe Japan 2011 at the Tokyo Dome City Hall in Tokyo on June 16, 2011. Maria of Osaka is 23 year old and stands 1.68m. She will represent Japan in Miss Universe 2011. The first runner-up was Hibiki Nozu; the second runner-up was Michiko Tanaka.

Miss Universe Japan 2011 will be held on June 17 2011 at the Tokyo Dome City Hall. 15 finalists will be vying for the crown. The winner will represent Japan in Miss Universe 2011 in Brazil. Miss Universe Japan 2011 was first scheduled to be held on March 30. However, it was postponed due to the March earthquake and Tsunami in Japan.
